Join us for a Classic Car Show featuring Low Riders, Jeeps, Customized, Classics and more!
Best of the show will be awarded by popular vote by attendees.
1st, 2nd, and 3rd price trophy to be awarded.
Cars must arrive by 10 am at the festival. The show is from 11am to 4pm. Trophies presented at 3pm. Registration is $20.

Active Street on Pierce Kick-Off – May 9th
Active Street on Pierce is starting up again with a kick-off on May 9th! There will be a guided bike ride led by Bike Fed & Oak Leaf Familia. We encourage neighbors to bring their bikes to join us! If you don’t own a bike, the Urban Ecology Center will be providing a limited amount of bikes to rent. There will also be art-making on the street with Artists Working in Education (AWE). We will begin to brainstorm the next set of words to add as the temporary art installation along Pierce st. (Street will be closed off between 22ND-23RD).
Art Making Workshop with AWE – June 13th, June 27th, July 11th
Join us on continuing the art installation of words along Pierce st.! On these dates we will be painting another two identified words that resonate and spread a message in Clarke Square neighborhood. This project is in the efforts of using community art as a way to slow down traffic. Come make your make and re-imagine the streets-cape with art!
Celebration of Project Completion – July 25th
Come join us to celebrate the art-installation and neighbors involved in the Active Street on Pierce! We will have music, food, and art-making with Artists Working in Education to celebrate. (Street will be closed off between 22ND-23RD).

At Plantas y Tito’s, you will acquire the skills to craft a stunning terrarium featuring a succulent arrangement all while enjoying refreshing Tito’s Handmade Vodka cocktails and delicious tapas!
We encourage you to bring a small item that reminds you of your favorite place in Latin America, the Caribbean, or wherever you feel most connected to your roots to incorporate into your terrarium. This could range from a small figurine to crystals, seashells, or anything that sparks your creative flair.
Included in this workshop are three succulents, a container and detailed care instructions. Optional: You may bring your own container!
*Tickets are $25 and include tapas and all supplies to create your own terrarium. Our incredible partner Tito’s will be providing the beverages!

Follow us on a journey through the African Diaspora with music and dance from West Africa, Colombia, Mexico, Brazil, Cuba, Puerto Rico, and present-day United States and enjoy performances by our Academia Bembé youth, teen and adult students and guest performers, including special guest Maestro Alberto “Beto” Torrens of San Juan, PR, and more! This is an intergenerational, all-star line-up!
