Journey the Atlantic / Viajando el Atlántico

Bembé welcomes you to our biggest production of the year, “Journey the Atlantic/Viajando el Atlántico,” a celebration of Afro-Latino musical culture!
Follow us on a journey through the African Diaspora with music and dance from West Africa, Brazil, Colombia, Cuba, Puerto Rico and present day United States and enjoy performances by our Bembé youth, teen and adult students and guest performers, including special guest Maestro, Alberto “Beto” Torrens and more! This is an intergenerational, all-star line-up!
This year’s celebration will take place at Alverno College’s Pitman Theatre. This performance is FREE, family-friendly, and open to the community. RSVP ENCOURAGED.
