DarylAnne Stadler of Blushed Beat Beauty presents her local small business success story as a passionate and extremely talented makeup artist working both in the commercial sector as well as bridal and special occasion makeup. DarylAnne also is an instructor in the art of makeup and continues to further her own education. This program will give attendees an inside look at how to build a successful small business, any difficulties she had to overcome, how entrepreneurs can maintain success throughout the pandemic, and provide tips and answers to attendee questions.

Back by popular demand, Renaissance Theaterworks presents NEAT with Marti Gobel reprising her tour-de-force role!
NEAT is a magical, often humorous, coming-of-age story. Based in the oral traditions of the African Diaspora, award-winning playwright, Charlayne Woodard is a modern-day griot. NEAT is based on the playwright’s lived experience. As an infant, Woodard’s beloved Aunt Beneatha (Neat), is denied treatment at the local “white” hospital, leaving her with permanent brain damage. But Neat possesses an enormous heart. With love and simplicity, Neat teaches young Charlayne to embrace black pride and cherish life through the turbulent 1960s and 1970s.

The events will feature conversations, conexiones opportunities, and a guest panel that will highlight the four pillars upon which we are founded: Professional Development, Leadership Development, Personal Enrichment, and Civic and Public Engagement. Hear the stories, struggles, and triumphs that some of our brethren have taken, the courage and perseverance they’ve shown along the way, and the wisdom they’ve gained.
