October 12 @ 9:30 pm – October 16 @ 1:45 pm UTC
Angela Puerta is a Colombian singer-songwriter and guitarist based in Madison, WI. She is celebrating her Latin roots this October, Hispanic Heritage Month, with a festive and fun show for the whole family. Angela and her band will get everyone up on their feet with Latin beats, Colombian folk music, and other familiar songs in both English and Spanish. Come dance to Cumbia, Bambuco, Salsa, Merengue, Reggae and even Mexican Folk! Sing along with a wide variety of instruments like maracas, timbales, congas, bongos, and cajon. Kids and parents alike will learn how to play, dance and sing in Spanish and English! Angela will be joined by two of her favorite musician friends – Salar Saleh, an outstanding percussionist from New York City, and bassist Carlos Ramos, from Puerto Rico.
Extra Fun: October is a month to celebrate our Hispanic Heritage so we invite you to join us between shows for free art activities that explore Latin culture. Plus check out the free Latino Art Fair from 2 pm to 7 pm in Promenade Terrace.
Free 45-minute performances at 9:30 am, 11 am and 1 pm. The 1 pm performance will be American Sign Language interpreted. Please call (608) 258-4148 if you need to be seated within sight of the interpreter.
