Fall Frolics

October 24 @ 11:00 am 1:00 pm CDT

Well our beloved Pulaski Park had a quiet soft opening last summer due to, you guessed it- The COVID PANDEMIC.
But now the grass is green, the rain gardens, and a variety of tree groupings have taken hold calling the bees and butterflies. So, It is time to celebrate this great achievement of “Back to Nature” of our Pulaski Park and the mighty Kinnickinnic River.
Join us in this free family-friendly event! This day is meant to bring our community together to celebrate the change in seasons and welcome the fall with positivity and gratitude! We will be starting off the celebration with a Water Blessing of the KK River, the connecting aspect of many southside neighborhoods. This blessing is meant as an appreciation of water’s sentient nature, that which gives us life. We will be led through this water blessing ceremony by the Gerald Ignace Indian Health Center. After the blessing, stay and join us for some fall festivities! Not only will we be giving away pumpkins, gourds, and mums, but we will also be distributing free packs of FRESH produce to families, supplied to us by Pete’s Fruit Market and our Sixteenth Street Healthy Choices team. Paint your pumpkins, play some games, and connect with your neighbors while sipping a warm cup of hot chocolate!
