A Message from Our Founder

There’s been a lot of learning over the years since I took the entrepreneurial leap to start MiVoz.com. I continue to grow from my experiences and I’m grateful for the opportunities that MiVoz.com has had to serve community. So whether you’re visiting to simply discover new events, or you’re one of our community partners, we truly appreciate your support as we work hard to build community one event at a time!

–Andrea

Andrea, MiVoz.com Founder

Andrea leads MiVoz.com in addition to being an active community volunteer and an extra busy mom of three. Originally from San Antonio, Andrea is always up for a good cumbia (#ANYTHINGforSelenas) and tasty Tex-Mex or her Pa’s BBQ. While in college at Rice University in Houston, she had her first taste of life in Wisconsin during a summer INROADS internship at the Kraft Foods Oscar Mayer Plant in Madison, WI. Little did she know that that experience would be the first of several that would bring her back to Wisconsin, and eventually make it home.

MiVoz.com has been a wonderful opportunity for her to make long-lasting connections in our community and to work with those who make a difference in it.

Prior to the founding of MiVoz.com, she was a Marketing and Business Insights Analysis Manager at SABMiller and worked for Kimberly-Clark and Kraft Foods. Andrea holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Rice University and an M.B.A. in General Management from The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.

Cinthia, Brand Ambassador

Cinthia is an avid explorer of the city of Milwaukee. She is a proud Latina that supports the arts, education and healthy living in the city. As a MiVoz.com ambassador she hopes to showcase the vibrant and unique Latinx events that happen throughout the year at our beautiful Milwaukee. Hit her up with any questions of comments!

Kiara, Community Intern

Kiara is in her second year as a student at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication. In August 2018 she moved to Milwaukee WI from Moca Puerto Rico, transferring from the University of Puerto Rico in Aguadilla.

Kiara relocated to the United States searching for new opportunities to enhance her academic career and to gain experience to reach her professional goals. While her recent National Honor Society and Dean’s Honor List achievements show how much she enjoys hitting the books, she’s also enjoys being an involved student leader and volunteer with the Latinx Student Union, a part of the Roberto Hernandez Center at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. They’re the ones who organize Casa Abierta and the Latinx Diversity Festival so you might see her on-campus the next time you visit one of those RHC events!

Kiara is a proud member of the MiVoz.com team as she is encouraged to work hard for the community-minded small business. And as a Community Intern, Kiara gets to do what she loves most– support the work of the organizations and individuals in our Latino community.
