Alison Clark Efford is a historian of immigration to the United States during the nineteenth century. Having grown up in New Zealand, Alison moved to Wisconsin to take a job at Marquette University. She is now a proud Milwaukeean and believes in the power of reckoning with difficult history to improve our city. Dr. Efford’s latest book is Radical relationships: the Civil War-era correspondence of Mathilde Franziska Anneke.
