Learn the fundamentals of Cuban Rumba percussion styles with Master Drummer and Toca Percussion artist, Carlos Adames. Bembé workshops teach fundamental percussion skills with an emphasis on the Afro-Latino cultural tradition of the “toque,” a group/ensemble practice. In this workshop series, the group will learn and play 2-3 full pieces, including tumbadoras (congas), shekere, clave, vocals, and more.
