30th Annual Dia de Los Muertos Opening Reception

Walker’s Point Center for the Arts has the longest standing tradition of celebrating this cultural practice in Milwaukee. This is a year of “Celebración/Celebration” as we commemorate 30 years of centering and uplifting this tradition in our neighborhood and beyond. We celebrate the lives of the dearly departed, their impact and memories through contemporary expressions from artists, and altares from community partners/members.

Este es un año de “Celebración/Celebración” ya que conmemoramos 30 años de centrar y elevar esta tradición en nuestro vecindario y más allá. Celebramos las vidas de los difuntos, su impacto y recuerdos a través de expresiones contemporáneas de artistas y altares de miembros de la comunidad.
